PRO's commitment to conservation issues has been a basic part of our operation since day one. Many of our staff and owners are active members in groups like Trout Unlimited that are dedicated to protecting and enhancing Montana's cold water fisheries. Their activities have benefited the resource in many ways. The end result is perhaps best exemplified by the fact that once again PRO is guiding on the Blackfoot River. That's due to the resurgence of that wonderful stream, thanks to the efforts of many people who refused to let the Blackfoot die. Conservation groups, industry, agriculture, recreationists, businesses, and government agencies all came together to make it happen. The key is the commitment of the individuals and their vision of cooperation rather than confrontation.
We are very proud that PRO could be a part of this amazing success story. We are equally proud of our Montana partners in conservation, groups like the Blackfoot Challenge, Smith River Habitat Project, Montana Nature Conservancy, Montana Land Reliance, the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, as well as many other groups and individuals who demonstrate the commitment to conservation every day.
Thanks to their efforts, Montana will remain a top destination for anglers and hunters from around the nation, and around world.
