Pheasants — Grouse — Partridge!

PRO has offered Upland Bird Hunting for years. Since the beginning we have hunted only wild birds and have done so in some of the best habitat Montana has to offer.

This country is not only productive but offers our guests a taste of an undeveloped portion of Montana that sits off the beaten path. The picture includes big ranches and big country with astounding views of the Highwood Mountain's foothills to the north, the Rocky Mountain Front to the west, and the Great Plains to the east.

With over 100,000 leased acres nestled in the foothills and on the edge of the prairie, bird dogs can run big on the home of Hungarian Partridge, Sharptail Grouse, and Ring Neck Pheasants. The Huns and Sharps are prairie birds that hold well for the pointing dog and offer exciting gunning for even the most experienced wingshot. The wild pheasant is amazingly quick for a larger bird and always seems to be a surprise when he makes his noisy getaway.

We now have two lodges available as a base for our hunting operations. One is a ranch-style home located at the base of the Highwood Mountains. The other is a log cabin style lodge with hunting opportunities right out the front door. Both facilities offer comfortable, private accommodations, kennels for dogs and ample tasty meals. Guests are invited to bring their own dogs or hunt behind ours. A guide is provided for every two guns.

2008 Fee Schedule — Wild Upland Bird Hunting — A three-day package staying at the hunting lodge is $3,600 per guest. Additional days are $1,000/day per guest. A four-day combo with one day of fishing is $4,000 per guest. Please see the Trip Info section for additional information.
